A prayer for the direct experience of Jesus Christ

Lord Jesus, i want to see you. i want you. right now. i don’t want to rely on theology/doctrine, words about you. i want you. right now. i want you. really. i want to shut up… and listen to you. if the Holy Spirit was really here, then why do i have to say this is the work of the Holy Spirit or that is the Holy Spirit? i want your presence to be self-evident, not theologically manifest. i want you. really. in flesh and spirit. right now. in this moment. please lord. do not deny me your presence. do not deny me your reality. do not deny me an elder brother. i really need you to be my brother right now. i need you as a friend. i need you, much more than how i am needed. i need you. please meet my need. please meet me.

Passage for this Season

Philippians 2:11-13 (NIV) (12)Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, (13)for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
