Tyranny of Freedom

Just today I was thanking God for saving me (us) from a very difficult situation/environment. however, the process that lead to that ‘salvation’ however is becoming all the more oppressive. Soon, I’m sure, we’ll need to be saved from that as well.

I find this interesting that ‘human/ideological’ saviours, no matter how God-sent, will ultimately disappoint. We are doomed to conditional/limited atonement on the worldly/materialistic level.

No social-salvation is lasting.

Passage for this Season

Philippians 2:11-13 (NIV) (12)Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, (13)for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
